Tokyo Metropolis
If its your first time in Japan, one of the popular destinations is usually Tokyo. With its famous subway and train systems, you can easily go to many areas and find something new inside the metropolis.
Saitama Prefecture
Saitama is a neighboring prefecture of Tokyo, and very easy to get to when you’re coming from the city. Some may call it a bed town, but there’s more to it than just residential housing. With the many rivers that run across it, it comes with scenic views to discover.
Gunma Prefecture
With its abundant mountain ranges and volcanic activities, this prefecture has been known for its amazing hot springs that many people travel for. So famous that its a go-to travel destination for many Japanese.
Niigata Prefecture
Niigata is a prefecture facing the west coast of the Japan sea, and the seafood here is just amazing. Aside from that, this place is very famous for their great-tasting water, which means they have delicious rice and also importantly their sake.
Nagano Prefecture
Ever heard of the Japanese alps? The famous snow monkeys? Kamikochi? Matsumoto Castle? Yes, there are many others too and these destination spots are all in this very wonderful prefecture.
Yamagata Prefecture
People say they’re famous for the cherries, and yes it is very delicious. Aside from this treasured fruit, this prefecture is the home to scared temples, shrines and also to the Dewa Sanzan mountains, Mt. Gassan, Mt. Yudono-san, Mt. Haguro.
Iwate Prefecture
Iwate is an underrated place in Tohoku region, filled with scenic coastal lines, wonderful mountain ranges and just really really good onsens. Because its far from the central part of Japan, it forged its own identity with its own local culture.
Hokkaido Prefecture
Known for its delicious produce, vast wildlife and cold climates, this large northern island in Japan is one of the top destinations for winter sports, summer getaways and food travels.
Tochigi Prefecture
A popular destination in the Kanto Area with a wonderful volcanic mountain range, which also means onsen villages around. It is the home to Nikko National Park, the famous Chuzenji Lake, Toushogu shrine that is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu and lots more to explore.
Fukushima Prefecture
Fukushima is found at the south of Tohoku Region is famous for its role in samurai history. It has fun festivals such as the Waraji Festival and Sona Nomaoi Festival, the iconic Tsurugajo Castle in Aizu-Wakamatasu and scenic mountains in Bandai-Asahi National Park.
